Quality Approvals Antrim standard toroidal transformers are approved to: EN61558-1:1997 (KEMA agreement 962307) on 15 core sizes (covered by our UL agreement). Our KEMA agreement also covers: custom transformer designs on the same 15 core sizes and allows the inclusion of
- audio grade transformer designs; - electrostatic/safety screens; - GOSS bands; - thermal cutouts; - potted centres; - total encapsulation; - customised connectors; and - reduced flux density transformer designs. Available primary options (for both standard range transformers and custom design transformers) are: 110V, 115V, 117V, 120V, 220V, 230V, 240V, 2 x 110V, 2 x 115V, 2 x 120V & 2x 0-110-120V. Maximum allowable secondary voltage is 1000V (see custom design page for restrictions). EN61558-1 replaced EN60742 based on the International standard IEC 742, (also known as BS3535 in the UK and VDE 0551 in Germany). EN60601 – 1 approvals for a range of four mains isolations transformer for medical use from 13VA to 1KVA to implement UL506 for transformers was gained in 1997.
